Thousands enjoyed the hits of Quiéreme, Quema Quema, and Vino Griego at the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente park on Saturday.
San Bartolomé Celebrates in Style
San Bartolomé has concluded its 2025 patronal festival with a spectacular musical programme and a record turnout.
On Saturday night, thousands of attendees joyfully sang and danced along to the greatest hits of renowned artists José Vélez from the Canary Islands and Puerto Rico’s Edwin Rivera. This event marked the end of a festive programme organised by the San Bartolomé Town Hall, through its Department of Celebrations, which had been running for several weeks.
Mayor’s Delight
San Bartolomé’s Mayor, Isidro Pérez, expressed his satisfaction at the diverse attractions offered by the town’s popular celebrations, aimed at both locals and visitors to Lanzarote. “Tonight’s concert exemplifies how our festivities combine fun and safety, and the Department of Celebrations has hit the nail on the head with a proposal that has exceeded all expectations,” he remarked.
A Unifying Experience
The councillor responsible for the department, Estefanía Luzardo, emphasised that “there is no greater reward for hard work than witnessing the entire community singing at the top of their lungs, fully engaging with every event of the San Bartolomé festival alongside friends and family.”
The nostalgic sounds of classic hits such as Vino Griego, Canarito, Quema Quema, and Quiéreme created an unforgettable experience for attendees of all generations, leading to a vibrant night that extended into the early hours of the morning with a popular dance featuring the band Leyenda Joven and DJ Ángel Pérez at the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente park.
A Grand Finale
Saturday’s celebrations culminated in a magnificent closing event, which had begun earlier in the day with the traditional horse race held at the agro-environmental complex in Teguise.
