San Bartolomé continues with the celebration of its patronal festivals, and this weekend the municipal theatre hosted one of the most popular and emotional events with the concert “Lights, Music and Action”, performed by the Municipal Band of San Bartolomé, dedicated this time to the seventh art.

The audience, which packed the venue, was able to relive some of the most iconic soundtracks in film history, in a varied and entertaining repertoire filled with nods to collective memory, featuring the main themes from movies like Superman, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, and Pirates of the Caribbean, among others.

The evening was marked by a very emotional moment, which was the recognition of the work and dedication of the director of the Municipal Music Band of San Bartolomé, Kenty Mauri Cabrera, during his 17 years of service.

The Mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, on behalf of the Corporation, presented him with an award in gratitude for his dedication, commitment, and contribution to the cultural enrichment of the municipality. “Under his baton, the group has grown in quality, becoming a musical reference for Lanzarote, also fostering new musical vocations by supporting local talent,” Pérez highlighted.

In this regard, the San Bartolomé City Council would like to extend this congratulations and gratitude to each of the members of the municipal band for their excellent work, as well as for their direct participation in the extensive programming of the Patronal Festivals, which includes more than fifty activities for all audiences.
