The First Training Conference on Adolescence will take place on 19th September at the Municipal Theatre and will feature presentations by specialists in psychology, education, digital safety, and communication, aimed at young people and families in the municipality.

The San Bartolomé Town Council is organising the inaugural Training Conference on Adolescence, scheduled for 19th September at the Municipal Theatre. This initiative aims to educate young audiences and families on the responsible and healthy use of technology.

The programme aims to equip attendees with useful tools and strategies to support adolescents in their development. It seeks to promote a critical and healthy use of technology while providing a space for reflection on the risks and opportunities that the digital world presents during adolescence.

San Bartolomé’s Mayor, Isidro Pérez, stresses that “in today’s digital age, it is essential for local institutions to support our families and youth with initiatives that foster a healthy coexistence with technology. These conferences aim precisely to provide practical responses and to stimulate discussion on a highly relevant issue in our society.”

Meanwhile, the Councillor for Social Services, Carmen Medina, highlights that “adolescence is a crucial stage, and we want both young people and families to have the information and support necessary to make the most of the opportunities presented by new technologies while also recognising and addressing their risks. With this first conference, we are launching a formative and meeting space that we hope to repeat in the coming years.”

The programme includes the participation of specialists in psychology, education, digital safety, and communication, who will provide a comprehensive view of the challenges posed by adolescence and technology, with particular emphasis on mental health and personal development. Tickets will be available from 1st September at www.ecoentradas.com.
