Socialist Group Accuses Rosa Dávila of Failing to Fulfil Commitments

The Socialist group in the Cabildo of Tenerife has accused the corporation’s president, Rosa Dávila, of failing to make “absolutely any” progress on her commitment to regulate access to the Teide National Park.

The PSOE asserts that Dávila is “flagrantly” breaking her promise that, starting from 1 January 2026, access to Teide would be exclusively via public transport, along with the construction of modal interchanges (car parks).

According to a statement from Socialist councillor Javier Rodríguez Medina, “Nothing has been done whatsoever; we don’t even know where these interchanges will be located, and there isn’t a single project underway.” He further stated that the president of the Cabildo “sells smoke, creates headlines, and deceives the public.”

Rodríguez emphasised that the Teide National Park “deserves rigor, planning, and serious management, not empty announcements.”
