The Transport Department, led by Miguel Ángel Jiménez, will provide a special service to facilitate the mobility of residents and visitors during the celebrations in honour of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Mary

The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Transport and Mobility Department, has approved an enhancement of the intercity bus service to Caleta de Famara, as requested by the Teguise Town Hall due to the festivities for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Mary. This enhancement will specifically occur over the weekend from 29th to 31st August. The resolution includes special services for Line 28 (Arrecife-Teguise-Famara) for both outbound and return journeys.

The Transport Councillor, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, stated, “This measure reinforces safe and efficient mobility for residents and visitors during a time that is very important for the municipality. The collaboration between the Cabildo, Teguise Town Hall, and Arrecife Bus S.L. is essential to provide a quality service that meets the community’s needs. We want everyone to enjoy the festivities without worry,” he expressed.

Additionally, Teguise’s Mayor, Olivia Duque, added that “alongside the increase in intercity buses, we have also agreed to strengthen the taxi service during the celebrations, thereby providing various options for public transportation.”
