Success of Bonos Consume Initiative in Lanzarote: 12,900 Vouchers Sold Out in 12 Minutes

Stellar success in sales of the Consume Vouchers programme driven by the Cabildo of Lanzarote and FELAPYME

Local businesses receive overwhelming support from the public for the fourth consecutive year as 12,900 vouchers sell out within minutes

The Consume Vouchers Programme 2025, launched by the Cabildo of Lanzarote with the support of FELAPYME, has concluded its sales phase with resounding success for the fourth consecutive year, with all 12,900 issued vouchers sold in just 12 minutes.

This initiative, now in its fourth edition, aims to boost, reactivate, and digitalise local commerce, supporting the recovery and consolidation of the island’s economic fabric. The Cabildo highlights that “once again, the public has warmly embraced this initiative, confirming its effectiveness as a tool for stimulating consumption, generating wealth in businesses, and contributing to job creation and maintenance in Lanzarote and La Graciosa.”

Armando Santana, the Minister of Commerce for the Cabildo of Lanzarote, noted that “this outcome, repeated for the fourth consecutive year, demonstrates the Cabildo’s commitment to the island’s commerce. The success achieved reaffirms the importance of continuing to promote direct support policies for establishments, which are essential engines of employment, social cohesion, and economic prosperity. The Cabildo remains firmly committed to commerce, through measures that have a direct and positive impact on the island’s economy.”

In this context, Oswaldo Betancort, the President of the Cabildo, emphasised that “this edition injects a total of €774,000 directly into local businesses, an amount that will have a significant impact on the participating establishments.” Betancort added, “All of this is part of the strategy to revitalise commerce, which also includes a promotional support campaign for this sector under the banner ‘Consume Lanzarote’, aimed at stimulating economic activity and strengthening local economies.”

The Consumption Department invites businesses to continue joining this initiative until 31 October through the website www.consumelanzarote.org. Additionally, consumers are reminded that the deadline for redeeming vouchers is 15 November 2025.
