Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje Shines at the Vogue Fashion Night Out

The Tenerife Swimwear Fashion Week, organised by the Cabildo in collaboration with Turismo de Tenerife and Tenerife Moda Night alongside the Adeje City Council, was one of the most anticipated nights for fashion enthusiasts in the capital

Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje (TFBCA) celebrated its eighth edition in style, taking place in the upscale Salamanca district of Madrid, the city’s main shopping area, with its own festival-themed stand. Over 50,000 attendees had the opportunity to discover the latest updates from the highly anticipated Tenerife swimwear event, returning from 16 to 18 October in Costa Adeje. The runway, which has become an international benchmark for the sector’s latest trends, is one of the few outdoor fashion events in Europe, offering a unique character set against a privileged backdrop. Images of the runway were displayed on a large screen alongside promotional visuals of the destination, Tenerife and Costa Adeje, captivating both locals and visitors alike.

Throughout the day, guests could also participate in various activities within the VFNO, including a draw for two experiential packages comprising a trip for two to the island. The winners will enjoy a personalised itinerary in Costa Adeje, with “fashion” as the main theme of their experience. The first lucky winners will travel to Tenerife next October, staying at the official hotel for this edition, the Hotel Tívoli La Caleta, where they will be front-row spectators at the TFBCA runway.

This edition of the VFNO introduced an exciting collaboration with the main music festivals in the southern part of the island, where Farra World raffled a package to experience one of its major festivals in 2026 in the southern municipality.

A Space for Commercialisation

The brands associated with the Tenerife Moda collective, such as Javier Aguiar, Arena Negra, and Lava, winners of the best collection award in recent editions, showcased their work presenting their “festival-themed” swimwear proposals for the season. Visitors could scan QR codes to access the social media and marketplace of these brands, facilitating not only sales but also providing insight into the design philosophies of the Tenerife creators who are committed to sustainability through the Plastic Free initiative, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals of Agenda 2030 promoted by TFBCA.

The Vice President and Tourism Councillor of the Cabildo, Lope Afonso, emphasised the significance of participating in a premier event like the Vogue Fashion Night Out, highlighting that it showcases Tenerife’s robust business and promotional strength, allowing it to be present at major national and international events, particularly in the fashion realm.

Efraín Medina, Councillor for Employment and Education at the Cabildo of Tenerife, underlined that “every brand from Tenerife Moda participating in the Vogue Fashion’s Night Out —Arena Negra, Lava, and Ananaswear, winners of the last three editions of the Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje— represents an opportunity to demonstrate that quality, identity, and sustainable commitment are at the heart of design and production in the island. Being present at an internationally renowned event allows us to share our collections with a global audience and make it clear that fashion made in the Canaries is strong, distinctive, and competitive on major international stages.”

Dimple Melwani, Chief Executive of Turismo de Tenerife, remarked that “promoting Tenerife at the Vogue Fashion’s Night Out provides an excellent opportunity for international visibility at one of the principal national and international fashion events, showcasing the significant potential of the island’s talent through the ‘Tenerife Moda’ brands that connect the realms of fashion and haute couture. This event allows interaction with designers, brands, and celebrities, discovering the latest trends and experiencing fashion in a more intimate way.” According to Melwani, tourism and fashion are two sectors with substantial potential when combined as a strategy, helping diversify the tourist offer and stimulate the local economy.

Patricia Paulsen Fölling, Councillor for the Tourist Destination and Sustainability Area, noted, “the importance of Costa Adeje’s participation in such promotions fits perfectly with the type of segment and clientele we seek for our destination; tourists committed to quality, excellence, and sustainability. Our goal is to expand our presence and visibility before tourists who consider fashion or haute couture a reference, associating the image of Costa Adeje with top-tier events and promotions. We always say, we do not want more tourists; we want those who do come to be more committed to quality and the destination.”
