The airports of Tenerife North and Gran Canaria are among the top ten European airports for complaints, according to Reclamio. Leading the list are Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, and Paris-Orly, accounting for 15%, 9%, and 4.7% of total complaints over the last four years.

Top Five Airports for Complaints

Completing the top five are Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport, with 3.5% of complaints, and Palma de Mallorca, with 3.4% of grievances.

Additional Airports on the List

Additionally, Málaga, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, and Ibiza round out the ten European airports with the most incidents.

Factors Influencing Complaints

According to Jordi Mercader, the head of Reclamio.com, the number of complaints is influenced by both strikes and organisational issues at certain airports, such as the recent French air traffic controller strike, and the volume of passengers passing through each airport.

Complaints encompass both issues related to flight delays and cancellations, including overbooking, as well as loss or damage to passengers’ luggage.
