The Tenerife Exhibition Centre is finalising details for the opening of the first edition of the Canary Islands Boat Show, an event that aspires to become “a benchmark for the maritime sector in the islands”.

The Inaugural Canary Islands Boat Show will open tomorrow (Friday 19), with attendance from the Vice-President of the Cabildo, Lope Afonso, the Councillor for Industry and Vice-President of the Exhibition Centre, Manuel Fernández, and the manager of Asnáutica, Carmen Fernández Ibars.

Manuel Fernández visited the facilities of the exhibition institution today, where the setup for the Boat Show is underway. This event is included in the annual programming of the centre, funded by the Cabildo, which means, in the councillor’s view, “making available our own resources to establish the Exhibition Centre as a venue for major events that puts Tenerife at the centre of social and economic activity in the Canary Islands”.

The Inaugural Canary Islands Boat Show will take place from 19th to 21st September at the Exhibition Centre, featuring 50 exhibitors and 60 stands, distributed over 10,000 square metres of the institution’s Grand Hall.
