The Command of the Civil Guard in Las Palmas carried out, between July and early August, a series of training days aimed at agents of the Local Police of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, within the framework of the Coordination and Collaboration Protocol between the State Security Forces and local police forces.
According to the armed institute, the training aimed to reinforce cooperation between police forces and update knowledge on operational intervention, technical defence, and police shooting.

The sessions took place over two days on both islands. In Fuerteventura, the training was delivered by a teacher and an instructor from the Operational Intervention Unit (USECIC), while in Lanzarote it was conducted by the instructor from the Costa Teguise Company.
The first day focused on police technical defence, addressing procedures for identifications, searches, handcuffing, and transporting arrested persons. The sessions included both theoretical and practical training.
During the second day, agents participated in police shooting exercises, receiving instruction on firearm safety, handling of the service weapon, and posture and execution techniques. According to the Civil Guard, this module helped improve both the technical skill and operational confidence of the police personnel.

The initiative also aimed to facilitate the exchange of experiences and best practices among security professionals from both islands. The Civil Guard positively evaluated the development of the training days, highlighting the high participation of agents and the commitment shown by attendees.
