XI ONDA FUERTEVENTURA Awards Ceremony Announced
The management of Onda Fuerteventura has announced that the XI ONDA FUERTEVENTURA Awards Ceremony will take place on Saturday, 11th October at the Palacio de Formación y Congresos de Fuerteventura (Puerto del Rosario) at 19:30. All attendees are requested to dress appropriately.
In a new initiative, those interested in experiencing the ONDA FUERTEVENTURA 2025 Gala live can acquire their tickets through ecoentradas.com, with a refundable deposit of five euros payable upon entry to the Congress Palace.
Recognising Local Talent
Nuria González, the director of Onda Fuerteventura, emphasised the importance of these awards and the talent of the local residents, whose work and achievements will be celebrated at the 2025 Gala organised by ONDA FUERTEVENTURA. González also noted the growing popularity of the Onda Fuerteventura Awards among the public, media, and businesses on the island, which have become the most significant awards in this domain.
The XI ONDA FUERTEVENTURA Awards are supported by the municipalities of Fuerteventura and over a dozen local companies. The ceremony will be streamed live through ONDA FUERTEVENTURA’s social media channels.
A Special Celebration
Organised by ONDA FUERTEVENTURA, these prestigious awards celebrat 11 years of recognising excellence in Fuerteventura across 11 categories, along with a special accolade: The Majorero Award 2025, which will honour an individual for their contributions, dedication, and defence of the island. Additionally, this award will continue to receive a charity cheque to support organisations executing projects aimed at integration and social development.
Since their inception in 2014, the ONDA FUERTEVENTURA Awards have featured a trophy designed by local artist and sculptor Juan Miguel Cubas. The awards have garnered increased attention and interest from civil society, political entities, businesses, and the sports community. In their most recent edition held in 2022, the event attracted 1,247 attendees, marking the highest attendance in the history of the awards and filling the Palacio de Formación y Congresos to capacity.
