A 56-Year-Old Man Drowns at Cofete Beach
Tragic Incident at a Notorious Beach
At approximately 2 PM, a drowning incident involving a 56-year-old man occurred at the well-known and perilous Cofete Beach in southern Fuerteventura.
Emergency Response
At the time mentioned, the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 112 of the Canary Islands Government received an alert reporting that bystanders had pulled a man from the water showing signs of drowning and in need of medical assistance.
Efforts to Save the Victim
Upon arrival, SUC personnel found the individual in cardiac arrest. They administered both basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but unfortunately, these efforts were unsuccessful, and his death was confirmed.
