Vehicle Catches Fire in Arrecife
A vehicle frequently occupied by an individual caught fire on Saturday night in a plot of land located in the Valterra neighbourhood of Arrecife.
According to eyewitness accounts gathered by this newspaper, a woman known in the area was the one who usually slept in the burned vehicle. However, police sources have confirmed to Crónicas de Lanzarote that no individuals were harmed in the incident. Fortunately, only material damage was reported, along with the alarm typically caused by such events in the Lanzarote capital, which are notably recurrent.
Several residents were shocked as they witnessed the flames engulfing the vehicle within moments, close to some homes, around eight o’clock in the evening.
Firefighters arrived within minutes, and the area was quickly cordoned off by local police officers. They managed to extinguish the flames, but not before the car was entirely consumed by the fire.
