The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts cloudy skies for this Wednesday, September 10th, particularly in the northern areas of the larger islands, with a chance of light and occasional rain, especially in the midlands, and temperatures showing little change.
As for the wind, there will be easterly winds with strong intervals, and very strong gusts are not ruled out in the southeastern and northwestern slopes, with breezes prevailing in western areas.
Regarding sea conditions, winds from the northeast are expected at force 4 to 6, occasionally reaching 7, with choppy or rough seas. In the southern and southwestern coasts, variable winds will create a slight swell, accompanied by a northerly or northwesterly swell with waves of 1 to 2 metres.
Weather by Island
- Tenerife: Cloudy intervals, more pronounced in the north where light rain is likely in the midlands. The east will have predominantly clear skies. Temperatures will remain steady, with maximums around 27ºC in Santa Cruz and minimums of 23ºC.
- Gran Canaria: Mostly clear skies, with retaining cloudiness in the north and the possibility of light rain in the midlands. Temperatures in Las Palmas will range from 22ºC to 26ºC.
- La Gomera: Generally slight cloud cover, with more overcast skies in the north and occasional light rain in the midlands. Temperatures will be between 23ºC and 27ºC in San Sebastián.
- La Palma: Cloudy intervals, especially in the north and east, with probable light rain in the midlands, particularly in the northeast. Santa Cruz will have minimums of 22ºC and maximums of 25ºC.
- El Hierro: Cloudy intervals, more common in the north where light rain is possible in the midlands. Valverde will see minimums of 17ºC and maximums of 20ºC.
- Lanzarote: Cloudy intervals that will tend to clear by the afternoon. Temperatures will remain stable, ranging from 22ºC to 26ºC in Arrecife.
- Fuerteventura: Cloudy intervals becoming clearer in the second half of the day. Temperatures will range between 22ºC and 25ºC in Puerto del Rosario.
