The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has updated the weather forecast for the Canary Islands for this Monday, 1 September 2025. It indicates there will be partly cloudy skies with a predominance of overcast conditions in the north, where weak and scattered showers are likely, particularly in the northeast’s mid-altitude areas during the early hours. The eastern region will be mainly clear.
Temperatures will remain relatively stable, with only slight declines expected in the east. Thermometers will range from a maximum of 28 degrees in Tenerife to a minimum of 17 degrees on the island of El Hierro.
The wind will be from the northeast, with strong intervals along the southeast and western coasts, potentially leading to very strong gusts, especially later in the day. Coastal areas in the southwest will see light breezes.
Las Palmas
The weather forecast for the province of Las Palmas this Monday indicates mostly clear skies with some cloudiness in the north of Gran Canaria. Scattered weak showers are likely, particularly in the mid-altitude regions during the early hours.
For the islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, there will be intervals of cloud cover tending towards clearer skies throughout the morning, with a predominance of cloudiness in the west, especially during the early and late hours, according to Aemet.
Temperatures will generally remain stable. In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, they will vary between a minimum of 23 degrees and a maximum of 25 degrees.
Regarding the wind, it will be from the northeast, with strong intervals on the southeast and northwest slopes where very strong gusts are likely. In the mountain areas, winds will generally be moderate, with some strong intervals, not discounting the possibility of very strong gusts occasionally. Breezes will occur along the southwest coasts.
