AEMET forecasts stable days in Lanzarote and La Graciosa, with clear skies, warm conditions, and a gentle breeze, while the Canary Islands remain under warnings due to high temperatures in the more elevated islands. The Government of the Canary Islands is maintaining preventive measures for heat and calima in various areas of the Archipelago.

The official forecast for the coming days in Lanzarote indicates stability, sunshine, and contained heat, aided by the trade winds. For Arrecife, AEMET has predicted highs of around 30–32 °C and lows of 22–23 °C, with a dry atmosphere and very little chance of precipitation. This pattern will continue for much of the next week, with slight variations of a couple of degrees between days.

In La Graciosa (Caleta del Sebo), the scenario will be even milder: “pleasant” days with plenty of sunshine, highs of 25–26 °C and lows near 22–23 °C, accompanied by a gentle breeze. The atmosphere will remain clear, with some intervals of passing clouds, and no rain in sight.

At a regional level, AEMET has maintained warnings for high temperatures on several islands, especially in the midland areas and southern and western slopes of Gran Canaria and Tenerife, where the highest readings are expected. AEMET itself identifies these areas as the focus of the heat and indicates the possibility of light calima at higher levels.

• Sunday 17 August. Arrecife will have a very sunny day with warm conditions (around 32 °C) and tropical nights close to 23 °C. In La Graciosa, a mild and clear day with highs near 26 °C.
• Monday 18 – Wednesday 20. Stable weather will persist: sunshine, very light calima at altitude in the Canary surroundings, and moderate trade winds. In Lanzarote, frequent highs of 30–31 °C and lows around 22 °C; in La Graciosa, a maximum of 25–26 °C. No rain is expected.
• Thursday 21 – Friday 22. Continuation of the pattern: warm and dry days in Arrecife, with peaks of 31–32 °C, and a very sunny and pleasant atmosphere in La Graciosa, around 25–26 °C.

The AEMET warning map indicates high temperature levels on several higher relief islands, with a particular focus on Gran Canaria and Tenerife, where midlands and peaks are more likely to exceed risk thresholds. These warnings are updated several times a day on Meteoalerta (AEMET).

The UV radiation index in the Canary Islands reaches very high values in summer; AEMET and the Canary Health Service recommend maximising sun protection during peak hours. For beaches and outdoor activities, consult the AEMET report (beach forecast) and the UV tables before planning your day.
