Tenerife remains vibrant with weekend activities as both public and private sectors strive to keep the island’s entertainment alive. From cinema, music, to religious events, there are numerous options to enjoy a delightful weekend. If you were contemplating staying at home, now is the time to open your wardrobe and decide what to wear, as you won’t want to miss out on these activities.

Cinema

TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes will showcase Blue Sun Palace this weekend at 19:00. This debut feature by director Constance Tsang, which won the Jury Award at the Cannes Critic’s Week, portrays the daily lives of two Chinese immigrants in Flushing, a neighbourhood in Queens, New York, where the director was raised. The film, shown in its original Mandarin and English with Spanish subtitles, reflects on the realities faced by thousands of Chinese immigrants in the United States, who live far from their homeland and often encounter constant racism.

Fiestas del Cristo

The Fiestas del Cristo de La Laguna will wrap up their final events this weekend, though several exhibitions will remain open for a few more days. Both Saturday and Sunday will feature various sports, cultural, and religious activities.
