Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium rescued a woman on Saturday afternoon who had become trapped underneath a boat in La Graciosa.

Incident Details

The incident occurred on the slipway of the teleclub in the village of Caleta de Sebo.

The firefighters were alerted directly by a woman who knocked on the door of the station at around 16:20. Upon arriving at the scene, they found the woman lying face down under the boat, but she was not trapped by it.

Immediate Medical Attention

At the scene, a nurse was already present, speaking with the woman and assessing her condition. The firefighters notified the health services in La Graciosa while attending to the injured individual and preparing for her extraction.

While waiting for medical personnel to arrive, a doctor in the area also assessed the woman.

Extraction and Transportation

Once the medical team arrived, they placed the woman on a spinal board and transferred her to the ambulance stretcher.

Subsequently, the firefighters moved to the dock to assist the medical staff in transferring the injured woman from the ambulance to the ferry that would take her to Lanzarote.
