Cloud cover will alternate with clear skies in Canary Islands this Thursday, as local strong winds continue and temperatures could reach up to 30 degrees in some areas, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
Temperatures will peak at 26 degrees in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and 23 degrees in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with a minimum of 19 degrees forecasted. A moderate northeast wind is expected, becoming strong in exposed areas on the southeast and west slopes, as well as at summits, where very strong gusts, particularly during the central hours of the day, are anticipated.
In the archipelago’s waters, northeast or north winds are expected at speeds of force 5 to 6, with choppy to rough seas and areas of slight swell and background sea from the north, ranging between 1 and 3 metres.
