Lana Corujo Featured in Repsol Guide’s Summer Edition
Lanzarote writer Lana Corujo has been invited by the prestigious Repsol Guide to take part in its summer edition highlighting “Soletes of the Stars,” a campaign showcasing culinary recommendations from various cultural personalities.
Corujo, known for her hit novel “Han cantado bingo”, has chosen five eateries that reflect her life journey—four on Lanzarote and one in Madrid.
The highlighted venues on Lanzarote include:
- 8Burgers: Famous for its classic “smash” burger with local sweet potatoes.
- Barullo: A favourite spot for its corn bread and goat cheese from Lanzarote.
- Tasca La Raspa: Located by the iconic Charco de San Ginés, known for its focus on local Canary Island produce and a brief menu.
- Malpeis: Operating in both Tinajo and Tías, noted for its artisanal beer, especially La Jable.
In Madrid, Corujo recommends Malpica, a beloved bar in Corredera Baja de San Pablo, known for its tortilla pincho, daily menu, and homemade desserts.
This collaboration comes as Corujo experiences a surge in her career; her recent bestseller “Han cantado bingo”, published by Reservoir Books, has sold over 60,000 copies in Spain and is being translated into more than ten languages, expanding into new markets across Europe and America.
