We are thrilled to announce the launch of a project that pulsates with the strength of our land and history. Introducing Jurria Temeje, an association established to safeguard, practise and promote one of the most spectacular and unique ancestral traditions in the world: the Shepherd’s Jump.
More than just a sport, the jump is our way of connecting with the landscape, understanding the cliffs, and honouring the legacy of our ancestors.
Our Objective
We aim not only to disseminate this incredible skill but also to open our doors to anyone who wishes to learn how to glide through the ravines and connect with nature in a pure and respectful manner.
Workshops and Tradition
Very soon, we will begin practical workshops on jumping and, of course, artisan schools where you can learn to create your own “lata” (as we proudly call our wooden tool with a rope in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura).
Traditions do not die as long as there is a community to keep them alive. Join us on this adventure! The cliffs await.
