Ariagona Lanzarote 3X3 Makes History at the Spanish Club Championship – Lanzarote News

The 3X3 team from Ariagona Lanzarote competed this weekend in Santiago de Compostela at the U17 3X3 Club Championship of Spain, a qualification they earned by finishing as runners-up in the Canary Islands.

Although the team from Arrecife returns from the national championship without a victory, they have made history for basketball in Lanzarote and the Canary Islands by participating in Galicia.

Team Composition and Performance

The squad, consisting of Tayri Bravo, Inmaculada Avero, Daima Karen Sidibe, and Fátima Anahí Wieland, with Aitana Morán as a supporting player, was led by coaches Pablo Blanco and Juan Carlos Arrocha. In their first match of Group F, they faced the Asturian team Ership-Adba Sanfer (Agrupación Deportiva Baloncesto Avilés), suffering a defeat (11-3).

On Saturday, their luck did not improve, as they first lost to Baxi Ferrol (5-17) and then fell to the Extremaduran side C.B. Al-Qázeres (6-14). They concluded their participation in the group stage with another loss against UCAM Murcia (20-15).

Historic Achievement

While CB Ciudad de Móstoles claimed victory over Valencia Basket in the final (15-11), it is important to commend the historic achievement for Lanzarote basketball represented by the qualification of Ariagona Lanzarote for the U17 3X3 Club Championship of Spain.
