The Lanzarote Business Confederation (CEL) has applauded the unanimous decision made by the Board of Directors of the Canary Business Confederation (CCE) to propose its president, Beatriz Salazar, as the representative vice president for Lanzarote in the upcoming regional business organisation term.

This proposal will be presented at the CCE Electoral Assembly, scheduled for 30 June, where the various positions that will constitute the governing bodies of the Canary employers’ association will be elected.

Commitment to Lanzarote’s Interests

Salazar accepted the responsibility “with enthusiasm, commitment, and a strong determination to defend Lanzarote’s interests while contributing to the overall strengthening of the business community across the archipelago, as well as supporting the growth of the island’s business fabric and the role our companies play in the Canary Islands.”

Importance of Representation

She emphasised that having representatives from the islands in the governing bodies of the Canary Business Confederation is vital for amplifying Lanzarote’s voice in strategic decisions concerning the future economy of the Canary Islands.

Advancing a Common Agenda

The CEL president highlighted the necessity of progressing towards a common agenda that addresses challenges such as digital transformation, productivity improvement, talent attraction, sustainability, and bolstering the business fabric of the islands.
